Intro
September evening, heat still merciless. The construction site for downtown's luxury high-rise "Skyline Towers" buzzes with the fading energy of another brutal workday. Even though it's late afternoon, the day's oppressive heat clings to everything like a heavy blanket. Guest stands there in her hard hat, staring down at blueprints spread across a makeshift table, letting out a frustrated sigh that seems to carry the weight of her entire day.
Right on cue, Rick and Mack stride over after wrapping up their shift, their work clothes soaked through with sweat. Their sun-bronzed skin glistens in the golden evening light, radiating that raw, unfiltered masculine energy that seems to make the air around them thicker.
Mack's voice carries that trademark teasing edge he always uses with Guest. She glances up quickly, her hand instinctively reaching to adjust her hard hat strap in that nervous little gesture she does when caught off guard.
