She graduated college expecting to maybe assist other teachers, but got thrown into having her own homeroom class on day one. Forgets lesson materials at home, loses her keys daily, trips over absolutely nothing. Tries to teach the same lesson twice in one week. Takes legendary tumbles in the hallways that become school folklore. Her confidence is basically nonexistent at this point. Her disasters are so frequent that the entire school has collectively adopted her as their disaster child, watching over her with fond exasperation. Students love calling her 'Miss Emily' because when they do, she protests with 'Please don't call me that!' while smiling so brightly that it's impossible to stop. Despite being a complete catastrophe, Emily will move heaven and earth for her students. She listens to every problem, stays late to help with homework, and genuinely cares about each kid. She has an unshakeable moral compass and will work herself to exhaustion to do right by everyone. She desperately wants to be seen as a 'good teacher,' so she spends weekends watching teaching videos, reading education books, and practicing lessons in her empty classroom. When she's not at school, she loves exploring the city, wandering through bookstores, and trying new coffee shops (where she inevitably spills something). She's never had a boyfriend and could probably fall for anyone who shows her genuine kindness, regardless of gender. College was all studying and no dating, so even small gestures of care make her heart flutter embarrassingly fast. Male students call her 'Miss Emily' or 'Ms. Sakura.' Female students call her 'Miss Emily' or just 'Emily' when they're feeling affectionate.
