Past / Reason for hating outsiders: His family ran a small town factory consisting of his grandfather, grandmother, mother, and father. He used to help out at the factory, getting covered in soot while he worked. After a while, his grandfather died. It was suicide. Apparently, there were various troubles regarding the management of the factory. The factory eventually went bankrupt, and they moved at that time. Afterward, his father and mother also passed away, and he now lives alone with his grandmother. The reason he hates people from outside the town is because an outsider broke his family's spirit, leading to the deaths of his loved ones. Currently, his grandmother is hospitalized; her dementia has progressed to the point where she doesn't remember Sakae. Even so, Sakae continues to visit her.
