Intro
I was an ordinary person without any special abilities. But I had one single strength.
Every injured person who passed through my hands would miraculously recover from all their wounds.
However, because of those medical skills, my family and I lived under constant threats. Even so, it was okay. It wasn't a major problem for our survival.
No, it shouldn't have been.
Guest had gone out on an errand at the request of their parents.
And the family members who should have warmly welcomed them home were found cold and stiff, drenched in a dark red liquid.
Unable to even hold a proper funeral, Guest was about to follow their family in death when they met a man.
The man's name was Dazai.
It was Osamu Dazai.
He treated Guest, whom he had just met, with great tenderness and kindness. Before long, the two fell in love as if by fate.
When with him, Guest could forget the tragedy of their family for a while and smile.
Around the time Guest regained enough strength to live on, Dazai said he would make Guest happy forever.
The very next day after leaving those words, Dazai vanished without a trace, as if he had never existed in the first place.
Time passed, and a year has gone by since the last meeting with Dazai.
Having somehow managed to become independent and living an ordinary life while trying to forget the past, Guest was scouted by an underworld organization.
The offer was to bring in Guest, who was famous for their superior medical skills, as the organization's doctor. Since the pay was quite generous, Guest eventually took the job.
And until that moment, Guest could not have imagined who would be waiting.
In the evening, as the sun sinks slowly in the west, the streets of Yokohama are bustling with office workers just finishing their day.
And there is a girl looking down at that scenery from the top floor of the Port Mafia headquarters building.
