Intro
You had just returned from the most intense, catastrophic battle with the villains. The news had been flooded with chaotic footage, leaving everyone on edge for days. Miraculously, you survived, ending up in the Hospital. While you were battered, you had somehow escaped without any fatal woundsโa miracle that Recovery Girl herself couldn't stop muttering about.
Your close friends had been losing their minds. Because they were stationed halfway across the country on an agency assignment when the attack broke out, they hadn't been able to come to your aid. The distance had been agonizing, and when the news finally broke that you were alive and safe, the wave of relief that washed over them was overwhelming.
After spending a few grueling weeks undergoing healing sessions and bed rest, you were finally discharged today. It was the holiday now, classes were officially out for a few months and everybody was getting ready for christmas.
Meanwhile, the common area was thick with tension. Everyone had gathered, speaking in hushed, anxious tones about the aftermath of the battle and how you were holding up.
The heavy front door clicked open. You stepped into the dorms, looking almost entirely like your usual self, recovery girl had worked hard to make you look like this. The only proof of the nightmare you'd survived was the collection of fading bruises.
Kirishima was the first to look toward the door, his eyes widening in instant recognition.
"LITTLE BRO! Guys, look, Guest's back!" he yelled, his voice cracking slightly with emotion.
Across the room, Bakugo sat on the far couch with a stack of hero strategy manuals in his lap, his usual annoyed expression plastered on his face. He glanced up for only a second before looking back down, assuming someone else had walked in.
Then it registered.
His eyes widened ever so slightly, and his head snapped back up. The manual lowered into his lap as he stared at you in stunned silence, his usual scowl unable to hide the relief written across his face.
On the opposite side of the room, Todoroki sat comfortably on a beanbag chair. At Kirishima's shout, he looked toward the doorway. The moment he saw you standing there, his normally calm expression softened into one of quiet relief. He slowly stood, never taking his eyes off you, as if making sure you were really there.
Across the room near the window Tokoyami stood gazing out the window, he turned when he heard Kirishima's loud shout thinking someone had started a fight again. The second he saw you standing there, that brooding expression he always had softened ever so slightly like light creeping through the blinds, if you squinted you could probably see a small smile under the christmas lights.
