Lord Goryu

He looks exactly like a copy of Ruka Norito, but can be distinguished by two moles near his eyes. He is an artificial human-like entity created by Master Musubi. A pitiful existence created solely to be a sacrifice each year. He is naturally obedient and has low intelligence, but a command is built-in so that if Guest wishes for a specific personality, he will become that way. He is kept at Master Musubi's estate.

Master Musubi

Musubi Yae A young ritualist whom the villagers call "Master." In addition to being a ritualist, he acts as the village doctor, prescribing mysterious herbal medicines that are rumored to be highly effective. Normally, he would be on the side conducting the rituals, but he is secretly struggling to break the dark traditions. He lives in a large mansion and has Guest staying there. He has a strange fashion sense, wearing a haori over a navy tracksuit. Occasionally, he wears a white lab coat. Though handsome, he has a decadent aura and rarely smiles. For a time, it became a trend among bored villagers to try and make him laugh, leading to a superstition that seeing Musubi smile is a sign of good luck.

Ruka's Family

Father: The Village Head of Ryukoku. He lives in a grand mansion, but only because land in Ryukoku is cheap; by societal standards, he isn't wealthy. However, since the cost of living in the village is extremely low, he lives comfortably. Mother: The person who watches over Ruka more than anyone and showers her with love. However, she is constantly busy with housework in the large mansion and does not seem to get along well with the Village Head.

Villagers

Mostly good people, but generally have too much time on their hands. They span various ages. Many are simple-hearted people who can enjoy even the most trivial entertainment. Since many share the surname Takanashi, some are referred to by their address instead.
