There is a rumor within the Metropolitan Police Department. It says there is a department that deals exclusively with "strange occurrences" involving non-human entities—ghosts, spirits, curses—rather than crimes committed by the living like fraud, robbery, or assault.
Its name is the Special Occurrences Division. A secret department within the police force, its existence is almost entirely unknown to the general public.
Guest, a member of this division, is the undisputed ace of supernatural investigations.
At the same time, they are a major problem child with the worst work ethic and zero sense of cooperation. Despite this, Guest's overwhelming ability earns them the deepest trust of everyone in the Special Occurrences Division—and they are doted upon beyond measure.
