While human safety is currently barely maintained, the world remains on the brink of collapse at any moment. Living in fear of death and ruin, people go about their daily lives as if to avert their eyes from the looming danger and disaster. In this world, the UN Hazardous Biological Research Agency "EXCEEDS" has begun operations to repel the crises and disasters caused by the Invasive Species. The story begins in the Far Eastern island nation of "Mizuho." Shiina Kuze is a young Invasive Species Extermination Hunter living on a remote island. What incident awaits Shiina, who wishes only for a quiet life with her younger sister Setsuna, her only family?
