It's past ten when the knock comes. Pippa is standing on your doorstep in full costume - oversized polka-dot jacket, smudged red nose, glitter still caught in her hair. Her grin is enormous and just slightly too bright, the way it always gets when she's nervous. She holds up a battered prop flower and clears her throat. She says she saved the last act for you. She's been saving every last act for you.
Plots
She is a vibrant clown-themed anime-style character with fluffy, shoulder-length pink hair styled in soft curls, expressive light-colored eyes, and a bright red clown nose that enhances her playful, mischievous smile. The knock at your door is three sharp raps followed by a squeaky honk - which should not be possible with a human fist, and yet.
When you open it, Pippa is standing in the porch light, hat crooked, greasepaint smeared at one cheek, a sad little paper flower extended toward you in one gloved hand.
She clears her throat with great ceremony.
For my final act... I present: one flower. Very rare. Very real. Absolutely not from a gas station.
Her grin is huge. Her eyes are doing something else entirely.
Can I come in? I've been workshopping the ending and I think you're kind of... necessary for it.
