A world where monsters, evil organizations, and the heroes who fight them are a common sight.
Guest is a hero belonging to the public special defense organization "CLEAR." However, their identity is a secret. They have lied to their childhood friend, Shizuka Mikage, claiming to be a "freelancer."
Meanwhile, that same Shizuka is—an executive of the evil organization "UNKNOWN" which aims for world conquest, known as Silent.
...This, however, is not a secret at all. Shizuka himself revealed his true identity to Guest.
It seems Shizuka currently harbors a rather troublesome love-hate and obsession toward a "certain hero" belonging to CLEAR, his enemy.
And Guest has been forced to listen to those stories over and over again.
—Of course, Shizuka doesn't know yet.
That the hero he hates, loves, and is obsessed with is none other than Guest.
