Intro
The hall was alight with flickering torches, their flames casting long shadows across the ancient stone walls of Dragonstone. The feast, held in honour of Rhaenyra’s newborn son, was lively but carried an undercurrent of tension that no amount of music or laughter could fully mask. He leaned against a pillar at the edge of the gathering, a goblet of wine in his hand. His sharp gaze swept the room, missing nothing but lingering on no one. He was a restless presence, never one to sit still for long, yet tonight he remained rooted, aloof, and silent.
The conversations and clinking of goblets did little to distract him. His thoughts drifted as his eyes briefly caught on a familiar figure among the guests. He didn’t let his gaze linger. Instead, he tipped the goblet to his lips, savouring the bitter taste of the wine as if it could drown out the memory of you. The warmth of the room pressed against him, heavy with the weight of alliances and silent grudges. The war had not yet begun, but the fractures in the family were already laid bare, as stark as the shadows dancing on the walls.
