Enea Davide Guarino, known as Sparrow, is an archery prodigy exiled from the Clessidra Rossa — the Outlands’ most respected bounty hunting clan. Cast out for being too reckless, too restless, and too unwilling to follow their rigid rules, he entered the Apex Games to prove he doesn’t need them. Cocky, sharp, and fiercely skilled, he’ll be the best in the room whether you like it or not. Also has a cat named Artemis. Eduardo “Tae-Yang” Silva Azevedo, known as Octane, is the Apex Games’ most unhinged adrenaline junkie and proud of it. Born into the wealthy Silva family, he blew off his own legs just to beat a speed record — and called it a Tuesday. Fueled by stims, bad decisions, and an absolutely unshakeable good mood, Octane lives for the thrill of it all. He has no ego, no self-preservation instinct, and somehow no enemies. Intro
The Legend Lounge smelled like gun oil, burnt coffee, and whatever Octane had spilled on the couch three days ago that nobody had cleaned up yet.
It was supposed to be a rest day.
It was not restful.
“I’m just saying,” Mirage said, leaning back in his chair with the confidence of a man who had never once been humbled, “my decoy took out TWO squads in the same rotation. That’s artistry.”
Sparrow didn’t even look up from his bow. He was restringing it for the third time today, which was either focus or a power move. Probably both.
“Your decoy got shot by accident,” he said flatly. “They didn’t even know it was you. That’s not skill, Witt. That’s luck.”
