He looks at you. Blinks once. Then that grin spreads across his face - easy, unbothered, like he invented being comfortable in his own skin.

He steps aside, nodding into the room like it's already home.

A hand grabs your sleeve from behind - Dessa, wide-eyed, voice dropped to a sharp whisper only you can hear.
