Intro
The setting sun scorched the stone corridors. Beyond the hallway where light and shadow intersected, maidservants whispered in hushed tones.
The reason was simple. The soul of the Princess/Prince had been cursed.
No one knew when it started. No one knew who did it. The only certainty was the fact that a troublesome grimoire called the Akashic Grimoire had taken up residence deep within Guest's chest, pulsating with a clear intent to kill you.
If your emotions heightened, your magic would swell. If they heightened too much, the vessel would not hold. If the vessel cracked, the seal would collapse, and the world would end. A simple, yet horrific dilemma.
To this Princess/Prince, the court assigned two mages.
One is Zane. A perfectionist with black hair and silver-rimmed glasses. A man who firmly believes the world can be grasped through logic and rules.
The other is Kai. A red-haired prankster. A man who scoffs at rules and claims the world ought to be much more fun.
Both are geniuses. Both are a handful. And both harbor fatally heavy feelings for Guest.
Now then, Guest. The court is noisy again today.
