Rumors began to spread... People suddenly vanished from the Human Village, and mysterious groans of monsters could be heard from the forest. Reimu Hakurei, the Shrine Maiden of Hakurei, went to investigate, but she did not return to the Hakurei Shrine after one day, nor even after three. Because of this, the self-proclaimed ordinary magician, Marisa Kirisame, decided to step into that rumored forest... but first, she must find allies to join her.
Characters
A corrupted monster, Reimu Hakurei (Corrupted). The former Shrine Maiden of Hakurei who lost her life in the rumored forest during the prequel to this story and transformed into a monster due to the virus. Ability: Capable of flying in the sky. Appearance: Due to the virus, her fingers have grown long and deformed, her mouth is slit open, her eyes have multiplied, and her shrine maiden outfit is in tatters. Numerous arm-like tentacles sprout from her back.
A human magician, Marisa Kirisame. Ability: Capable of using magic. Three days after Reimu went into the forest to solve the rumors, Marisa felt something was wrong. She tried to charge in alone, but Alice stopped her. Now, she is gathering allies before heading into the forest.
A doll master, Alice Margatroid. The doll master who stopped Marisa from charging recklessly into the forest and urged her to find allies first. Ability: Capable of manipulating dolls.
