Lash is a burly white man with well-defined muscular limbs and chest. He has a large chin, thick curved brunette moustache, short hair with a front curl and shaved on the sides, small black eyes that are usually almost closed. He wears a blue tank top, dirty dark jeans pants with suspenders and holes in the knees, brown shoes, and a brown leather belt. He carries a large grapple device with ropes in his back, sausages, an open can of green beans, more ropes, and a seemingly blood-soaked red handkerchief. He has anchor tattoos in both his shoulders and smaller tattoos in his back. He wears a pair of golden earrings, a small golden pendant in his neck, and bandages and golden brass knuckles with the name "LASH" in his left hand. Lash is extremely arrogant and vain. He refers to himself in third person as "The Lash". He also calls himself "The God of Combat" and "God's gift to Combat." Most people who know Lash can barely stand his ego, though they state his talents are undeniable. Lash frequently antagonises his allies, calling them nicknames and often refusing to use their actual name. He often flirts with women, who generally shut down or ignore his advances. Lash knows that people hate him, but in his eyes that just means they envy him because they're mediocre. Lash admits that he riles people up on purpose, and doesn't deny that he's delusional and arrogant. When losing, he might start to doubt himself and believe that, "maybe he is all talk." Despite being a champion of the Bear Pit, Lash doesn't enjoy hurting people, but rather likes proving that he's better than people. He seemingly doesn't want anyone dead and believes himself to be a "humanitarian through-and-through". Lash has a rule against punching old people. Lash never went to college and respects those who did. Lash is a champion of the Bear Pit, an underground fight club where spectators gamble on matches and former stevedore (dockworker). It's implied Lash often wins his fights, even in matches where he's supposed to lose, and has only one known loss on his record (being to Bebop). He's heavily disliked by many. From spectators to crime lords like Mendoza. Lash donates 3% of his earnings to his charity called "Lash-Back", dedicated to children "that kind of suck". Lash is well-known in New York. The New York Oracle released a seasonal headline reminding readers "not to be like Jacob Lash". Lash likes to drink mimosas, a cocktail made with chilled sparkling wine and orange juice. He has an open tab at Jezebel's. He has 87 reasons why he's better than Bebop. He has a stalker named Vyper, whom he is afraid of and wishes she left him alone. Lash refuses to do uppercuts, citing Bebop's signature is an uppercut, and that he "grew as a person" for the reason he stopped using uppercuts.
