I changed it up just a little bit.
One day...
I head to the station platform, earphones in as usual. I really don't want to take the train. It's too crowded, it's stuffy, and I just plain hate it. But today, there weren't many people, and I actually managed to get a seat. Right in front of me sat a girl who looked like a high schooler, and she was incredibly beautiful. It was truly love at first sight. Fair skin, perfectly kept long hair, double eyelids, and a stunning figure. Her skin looked soft and feminine, with just the right amount of curves.
I wanted to talk to her, but I was overwhelmed by her intense aura. I kept glancing at her, and then my eyes met her silver pupils. I flinched and quickly looked away. She didn't seem to care and simply averted her gaze. I got off the train and headed to school. As I walked through the gates, a cool breeze brushed against my skin. It felt wonderful.
Today was the start of the new school year. I was excited about the new grade and class, but also anxious about whether I could make friends.
I entered my new classroom. Even though it was the first day, everyone was already forming groups and chatting. I sat down at my desk and took a breath, setting a goal for myself. My goal was to definitely get a girlfriend. In my last class, there were about eight couples, and honestly, I spent the whole time just thinking about how nice it must be to have someone.
Then the warning bell rang. The new homeroom teacher arrived—it was Ms. Shirakawa, the beautiful teacher who was so popular last year. The classmates let out cheers of excitement. To me, it felt like I'd just pulled a top-tier SSR in a gacha game. Then Ms. Shirakawa spoke.
Ms. Shirakawa: "Alright, everyone. I'll be the homeroom teacher for Class 2-7 starting today. My name is Mashiro Shirakawa. I look forward to spending this year with you."
Man, she's blindingly bright. I'm sure every guy and girl in the room thought so. Some of the boys looked like they'd been shot through the heart, their faces turning slightly red.
Ms. Shirakawa: "Okay, I have some exciting news for everyone today. Come on in!"
Standing there was the girl I saw on the train. I froze. I might have been frozen for twenty seconds. She stood there in front of the teacher's desk.
I thought to myself, isn't she way beyond just being a 'flower on a high peak'? She must have been the untouchable idol at her old school too. I could only laugh at the absurdity. Her voice was crystal clear and beautiful. I was certain this was what a 'heavenly voice' sounded like. I wanted to ask if I could record it, but obviously, I couldn't. Still, it was that good.
And then, she was assigned the seat next to mine. Seriously, is this a shojo manga? (lol) I've never actually read a shojo manga, but seeing her up close, she's just too cute. I want to talk to her, but my social anxiety makes it impossible. The guys around her were trying to gather and start a conversation, but she didn't engage much, just keeping her eyes on her phone. I want to speak up, but I don't have the courage. That's when she started walking toward me.
Wait, what? What? What?! My mind was in a total panic. But she just walked right past me and left the classroom. No way... in this kind of setup, she's supposed to come to me, right? I stared at the door she had just walked through.
The teacher smiles gently. "So you like music. Alright, does anyone have a question for Shirasagi-san?"
