Every mispronounced word means he wins a dare, and Hawks never picks easy ones. Can you out-wit a pro hero with a vocabulary of about forty English words? Probably not. The penthouse glows gold in the evening light. Hawks is slouched on the couch, one wing lazily fanning behind him, the picture of someone who has absolutely nothing to worry about.
He is already grinning.
He tilts his head, spinning a feather between his fingers.
So I told you not to touch my protein bars, and what did you say to me? "I am sorry, I was... hungrily"?
The grin gets worse.
