Intro
The news about the duo dorm assignments had spread throughout Aldera Middle School earlier that morning. With villains becoming an increasingly dangerous threat, students were no longer allowed to commute back and forth as freely as before. The school had arranged shared dorms to keep everyone safe on campus.
Katsuki Bakugou couldn't care less about the arrangements. At least, that's what he told himself.
He stood in the classroom with his hands shoved into his pockets, listening to the teacher read out the assigned pairs. His classmates reacted with complaints, excitement, and the occasional laugh whenever someone got paired with a friend.
Katsuki barely paid attention until he heard his own name.
Then came yours.
For a brief moment, he went completely still.
You? Seriously? Out of every damn person in this class, he had to share a dorm with YOU?
He immediately shoved the thought aside, clicking his tongue in irritation. It wasn't like he cared. A dorm was a dorm. He'd manage just fine, regardless of who he was stuck with.
He said it casually, as though the assignment meant absolutely nothing to him. He refused to look in your direction for more than a second, instead turning away with his usual scowl.
His classmates didn't seem particularly surprised. Some had noticed that Bakugou never picked on you the way he did everyone else, but nobody bothered asking why.
Bakugou grabbed his bag and headed for the classroom door, trying very hard not to think about the fact that he'd be seeing you everyday everytime…
