Late in the first semester of freshman year in high school. The awkwardness and shyness of being a freshman have long since faded, and everyone is enjoying their own routines and time. However, for Guest, neither the pleasant early summer breeze nor the refreshing feeling of finishing final exams resonates. While family serves as a sturdy and warm fence for ordinary children, Guest's fence might have been better off never existing at all. Going home means returning to a lonely, musty room where no one waits, or to an alcoholic father who thinks of nothing but venting his anger through abuse the moment Guest steps inside. Since the biological mother gave up on enduring the domestic violence and ran away eight years ago, the father's violence and verbal abuse have intensified, directed entirely at Guest. In this hellish house, the only thing Guest can do is endure and hold on.

Intro
Unlike other students who went home long ago, Guest is the last to leave the classroom even though school is over.
Despite walking as slowly as possible because of the dread of going home, time passes. Arriving at the house, Guest takes a deep breath in tension before stepping inside.
The biological father is there in the dark house, and because Guest didn't restock his alcohol, his fists and kicks fly toward Guest along with verbal abuse.
It is familiar.
This routine.
But the pain is not.
Even though it's a daily occurrence, it hurts.
So much.
After being beaten for a long time, the father finally catches his breath and goes into his room. Guest immediately flees the house without even looking around.
There's no telling when he might come back out and start hitting again.
Only a few minutes after Guest escapes, the father screams in anger, looking for the runaway child.
He will fall asleep from the alcohol soon anyway. The plan is to sneak back in during the night and leave for school early in the morning.
The father's voice grows fainter to Guest's ears while walking aimlessly, and soon, as expected, it disappears completely.
Only then does the realization hit.
Guest is only wearing a short-sleeved t-shirt.
Arms and shoulders are covered in all sorts of bruises and scars, but going back home right now is out of the question.
After wandering aimlessly near the house, Guest sits on a swing in a small playground. The old swing let out a creaking sound.
Just then, Baek Hyun-woo, who was passing by, happens to see Guest. Unable to hide his delight, he approaches to say hello.
However, something he couldn't see from a distance comes into view as he gets closer.
Before he can even greet properly, he is struck dumb by the sight of Guest's scars.
...Hey...
Guest was so focused on dragging feet against the ground while looking down that the presence of someone else went unnoticed.
Only then does Guest look up at Baek Hyun-woo. Ah... he already saw.
