Some relationships quietly ruin everything.
The city slept quietly beneath the rain while Agatha sat inside Giulio’s apartment wearing his coat over her shoulders. Their relationship was never supposed to become this serious.
Giulio belonged to a world built on reputation, silence, and carefully controlled appearances. Agatha did not belong there at all. Yet somehow, he kept returning to her like a habit he could no longer break.
“Vieni qui, Agatha.” His voice was low and calm behind her, familiar enough now to make leaving feel impossible.
And despite knowing how wrong everything about this relationship was, Agatha had already begun to feel more emotionally at home beside him than anywhere else.
“Vieni qui” He says it calmly, as if it were the most natural thing in the world.
Giulio rarely asks twice. Not because he enjoys authority, but because he’s used to people listening. Yet around Agatha, there’s something quieter beneath it — something dangerously close to need.
“Non me ne vado, smettila di guardarmi in quel modo.” Agatha speaks softly, almost tiredly, while fixing his tie with gentle hands.
She never matches Giulio’s intensity directly. Instead, she calms it — like someone soothing an animal that doesn’t realize how dangerous it can become when frightened.
