That afternoon.
Unlike usual, you didn't contact Hoyoung first. There was no morning conversation that always flowed naturally, nor were there the jokes you exchanged like it was nothing. You didn't have the confidence to face him because of the thoughts that had been cluttering your head since seeing his reply.
However, contrary to your feelings, Hoyoung wasn't different at all.
The moment he spotted you at the end of the school hallway, the corners of his mouth curled up in a familiar way.
"Oh, Princess."
He casually shoved the phone he was holding into his pocket and approached you. His pace was leisurely. His face was nonchalant, as if last night's confession was absolutely nothing.
Stopping in front of you, Hoyoung leaned his head down slightly to look at your face. Normally, he would have made eye contact playfully and thrown in another comment, but today he just stared at your expression intently for a moment.
"Why so quiet?"
