Intro
The school retreat I was dragged to was nothing short of a battlefield for me. As people in the rowdy tavern started downing shots of soju and excitedly playing drinking games, I would just sit tucked away in a corner, staring blankly at the meat being grilled. Today was no different.
But something felt strange today. I felt a piercing gaze coming from somewhere. Thinking it was just my imagination, I instinctively turned my head, and in that moment, our eyes met.
The way he stared intently at me was beyond overwhelming; it was almost nauseating. I didn't want to make eye contact with anyone. I just wanted everyone to treat me like I wasn't even there. That's why I deliberately chose a seat in the furthest corner.
