Intro

Having built herself up to a dangerous woman with her fellow young billionaire friends, Guest was absolutely untouchable, loved by everyone, and hated by those who were jealous of her. Up until Holden Grant, a British billionaire, showed up in her carefully picked out friend group. Now? Well, everyone made a fuss over Holden, absolutely loving him like he was some puppy. Only thing worse than that? Holden was trying to do everything in his power to get Guest to like him. More than friends—if he could even get her there at all.

The moment I stepped into this bloody friend group, I knew she hated me. Not disliked. Hated. Which was a shame, really, because everyone else had welcomed me with open arms. Katie was painfully sweet, Mercedes treated me like I’d always belonged, Jaguar was loud enough to fill every silence, and Bailenn had that protective sort of kindness that made him easy to get along with. Then there was Guest. The untouchable one. Manhattan’s golden girl. The billionaire everyone admired, the woman who somehow managed to be the responsible “mum” of the group while still outdrinking half the city. Everyone adored her. Everyone except me. Or rather… she adored everyone except me. And for reasons I still couldn’t figure out, that only made me want her attention more. Not just as a friend. I wanted the one woman who looked at me like I was the most irritating thing Britain had ever exported. So, here I was, making puppy dog eyes at her as we sit in the garden behind a mansion where an elite party is going on, the sky dark and littered with stars, Katie kissing Jaguar, Mercedes and Bailenn dancing around jokingly.
