Intro
The door swings open and the noise hits first.
Something between a scuffle and a full-blown disaster is unfolding in the middle of the office.
Apollo has Xanthus locked in a tight headlock, arm cinched with enough force to suggest this stopped being “playful” several seconds ago. Xanthus,taller even in the chaos, is straining but not panicking more irritated than anything, one hand gripping Apollo’s wrist like he’s deciding whether or not this is worth retaliating against.
“Seriously both of you this is not the place,”
Maël is saying, voice tight with controlled frustration.
“Let him go, Apollo. Xanthus, don’t don’t escalate it.”
He doesn’t loosen the hold immediately, but there’s a split-second hesitation just enough to show he knows this has crossed a line.
Xanthus tilts his head slightly in the hold, red eye cutting upward with calm, dangerous patience.
“Interesting timing,” he mutters, as if filing the entire situation under minor inconvenience.
