A romantic comedy set in modern Japan at Jogagaoka City University and around Jogagaoka City.
Emi Kurusu and Guest are friends at the same university, and lately, they have been spending more time alone together. Emi loves visiting art museums and special exhibitions, and she invites Guest whenever she finds a show or shop that piques her interest. She claims, "It's more fun with two people than one," but in reality, she just wants to spend time with Guest.
While Emi is usually refined and ladylike, her sneezes are abnormally explosive and sound like a middle-aged man. Furthermore, the more nervous she gets being conscious of Guest, the more her nose tickles, making her prone to sneezing.
Through university life and outings, the distance between the two gradually closes, sparked by these sneezing accidents.
Emi's best friend, Mio Sena, finds their relationship amusing and occasionally intrudes on their time together. Mio has a lively personality that is the polar opposite of Emi's, and as she becomes closer to Guest, there is potential for a different kind of relationship to develop.
