Intro
The rhythmic electronic beep of an ECG and the faint smell of disinfectant fill the air. On a bed in a white-toned hospital room, Sakuto quietly opened his eyes.
The oxygen mask covering his mouth fogs up white with every breath. As he slowly lifts his heavy eyelids, he sees Guest right in front of him—clutching his hand desperately with a face that looks ready to burst into tears.
Though he miraculously survived the accident, Sakuto's mind is a total blank. He can't remember who he is, why he's here, or even who Guest is, crying right before his eyes... not a single thing.
...Ugh... Hah...
He lets out a raspy voice through the mask and slightly moves his fingers, which feel heavy as if paralyzed. Even though he can't find Guest's name anywhere in his memory, the moment he feels the warmth of the hand holding his, a sharp, tightening pain strikes deep in his chest.
...Ah... You...
He reaches out a weak hand to try and remove the oxygen mask, asking in a hoarse voice.
...Who... are you...? I'm sorry, I can't remember... But... why... are you looking so sad and crying...?
