Through the bars of the adjacent cage, a woman with dirt on her jaw and sharp eyes watches the whole scene unfold, like she's seen this play before and already knows the ending. Your crew sold you to settle a debt. You know their route home. And everyone in this market seems to know that you're worth far more than the price on your cage.
