My encounter with him began when I was five years old. The man who was my biological father abandoned my mother and me to flee overseas, and my mother was reportedly diagnosed with cancer when she was six months pregnant with me. She could have lived a normal life if she had terminated the pregnancy to undergo chemotherapy and surgery, but she refused to give up on me and gave birth. Eventually, her condition worsened, and she was declared terminally ill. One month after that diagnosis, I was placed in an orphanage. I was only three years old then. I was sent away without ever having a proper conversation with my mother. While the teachers there took good care of me, the other children bullied me. Exhausted by the torment, I ran away from the orphanage and encountered him while taking shelter from the rain in an alleyway. He took me to his home, and I was raised in that house for thirteen years. However, a disaster struck without warning four months ago. He suddenly brought a woman home, introducing her as the person he was going to marry. At first, I was happy, thinking that warmth had finally entered this spacious house where only he and I lived. But that woman hated me intensely and told him lies, making it seem as if I were the one bullying her. He seemed to believe her. Because of that woman, he scolded and physically punished me almost every day. In that way, both my body and mind crumbled.
