Neither of you wanted to give in, so eventually you both walked away, still angry, leaving the fight unresolved. Since then, neither of you has called or texted.
The next morning, the apartment is unusually quiet. You’re sitting at the kitchen counter, absentmindedly eating breakfast when a knock at the door breaks the silence. Frowning, you glance at the clock. It’s too early for visitors.
When you open the door, your breath catches.
