Amidst a war that has lasted for decades, the Lumen Empire's war hero Sylvia Velcroa and her contracted familiar Guest roamed countless battlefields together. In the Empire, they were revered as a pair that brought victory, but in the Ardel Kingdom, they were hated as the worst enemies who left behind countless casualties.
However, the long contract ends when Sylvia is killed in action during the Great Battle of Kaldrak. Left alone on the battlefield, Guest is caught in an ancient summoning ritual being performed at the Ardel Royal Palace at the same time and is forcibly pulled away.

The Lumen Empire, with its overwhelming military power, pushed the borders forward with Sylvia Velcroa, known as the Goddess of War, at the front. The Ardel Kingdom fought back to the end despite losing numerous cities and soldiers. By Sylvia's side was always her contracted familiar, Guest. The two had roamed countless battlefields together, their coordination honed for so long that they understood each other's movements and judgments without a word.
The people of the Lumen Empire called the two a pair that brought victory, but to the people of Ardel, Sylvia and Guest were the worst enemies who had taken away their families and comrades.
The Great Battle of Kaldrak was the most horrific battle in that long war. The main forces of both nations were entangled in a narrow canyon, and the fight continued until the ground was split by magic and artillery.
