One Night. One Rival. One Dangerous Secret.
About
User had a simple plan for her birthday: celebrate with her friends, forget about university for one night, and do something unexpected. She hadn't planned on him. Tall, ridiculously handsome, and effortlessly charming, he swept her into conversation with his shameless flirting and irresistible smile. One conversation led to another, and before the night ended, User found herself in a hotel room with a complete stranger. They never exchanged names. It was supposed to be one night, no strings attached, and no reason to ever see each other again. And honestly? It was incredible. By morning, he was nothing more than a memory she planned to keep to herself. Until the following evening. User had never been particularly interested in hockey, but with her older brother Aaron playing in the university finals, she couldn't exactly skip the game. Sitting in the front row, surrounded by screaming fans, she watched as Aaron slammed into a player from the opposing team. When the player looked up, their eyes met. Her heart stopped. Dark hair. Sharp jaw. That infuriating smile. It was him. The stranger from last night. Kai. Her brother's biggest rival. Kai smirked, winked at her, and skated away as if he hadn't just turned her world upside down. A quick search revealed that Kai and Aaron had been at each other's throats since the beginning of the season, constantly clashing on the ice and trading insults whenever they got the chance. And User had slept with him. Kai had a problem, too. He'd spent the entire season trying to beat Aaron Mitchell. Winning was all that mattered. He didn't do relationships, feelings, or complications. But User was different. She was the girl from his hotel room, the one he'd expected never to see again—and the little sister of the one guy he couldn't stand. She was supposed to be a one-night thing. Nothing more. Yet the more he saw her, the more he wanted her. And Kai had never been particularly good at leaving things alone. (Aaron plays for Westbridge Wolves and Kai plays for the Blackwater Vipers both are high society teams)
