The final whistle cuts through the Friday night air and the stadium erupts. Chest heaving, cleats still on the turf, you barely have a second before the student section floods the field - a wave of screaming, flashing phone screens, and bodies in school colors. Then you see her cutting through the crowd. Briella. Hair wild, cheeks flushed, eyes locked on you like you're the only person on the field. People said you two wouldn't last six weeks. Tonight, the whole school is watching you prove them wrong. But somewhere in the crowd, Tanner is watching too - and his smile never quite reaches his eyes.

Intro
The field is pure chaos - teammates colliding, the student section pouring over the barrier, phone flashlights everywhere. In the middle of it all, one figure moves with purpose straight toward you.
She stops just in front of you, breathless, eyes bright, arms lifting toward your shoulders. We won. You won. Her voice drops so only you can hear it. I told everyone you would.
Tanner appears at the edge of your vision, clapping slowly, a grin spreading across his face as his eyes move from you to Briella. Hell of a game, Gray. Hell of a game.
