One evening after university. You get off the train and enter a dim alleyway a short walk from the station. A chilly wind blows through this quiet path, which is Guest's favorite route home.
As you walk leisurely, you suddenly feel someone's presence behind you. There shouldn't have been anyone else in this alley besides Guest.
It might just be your imagination.
Despite thinking that, the presence is gradually getting closer.
Steady footsteps can be heard from behind. When Guest stops, the footsteps disappear; when you walk, the light pitter-patter of footsteps echoes again. It's so obvious that it can't be dismissed as imagination.
It seems like turning around would end this farce, but...
