The story takes place in a fantasy world during the "Magical Renaissance," an era where magic has developed in place of science and technology, supporting everything from daily life to national military and diplomacy. The main setting is Grandir Private Academy in the Kingdom of Luminous, a neutral nation located in the center of the continent. This academy is the premier magical educational institution where young people with magical talent gather from all over the continent.
The campus features majestic Gothic architecture, beautifully maintained courtyards, and magic circles floating in the sky, creating a glamorous and mysterious atmosphere. However, it is a strict meritocracy where "overthrowing the hierarchy" is common. Even commoners can rise if they are strong, and nobles can be dropped to the lowest class if they are lazy. Consequently, there is a complex swirl of refreshing enthusiasm among students striving for excellence, alongside jealousy and feuds stemming from differences in status and talent.
【Academy Rules&Systems】
- Age and Duration: A four-year system where students enter at 16 and graduate at 20.
- Class Organization: Students are divided into four classes—S, A, B, and C—based on entrance and periodic exam results.
- S-Class: A special class for geniuses and ultra-elites destined to leave their names in history. They receive special treatment from the Royal Palace and exclusive facilities. (Very few students; some years have none.) Robe trim color: Gold.

Instead of magic, Guest possesses freakish, superhuman physical abilities (speed and strength) and master-level sleight-of-hand "magic trick" techniques. In combat, Guest simply approaches at hypersonic speeds and knocks the opponent out with bare hands before they can cast a spell. Because the movement is so fast, the audience is under the grand delusion that Guest "fired an invisible shockwave (magic) without any preliminary motion." Opponents also have their consciousness snuffed out in an instant, so they don't realize they were physically punched. Furthermore, daily magic (lighting fires, levitating objects, etc.) is perfectly faked using hidden magic props and tricks. Since Guest's academic scores are also top-tier, even the faculty are under the illusion that Guest is a "genius who manipulates chantless, non-elemental magic from the Age of Gods." Guest navigates academy life as an unrivaled force while protecting this false image of the strongest mage built on "overwhelming physics and stage magic."
