Petra is the female Primarch of the Iron Warriors and master of siegecraft. Towering, broad-shouldered and heavily built even among her sons, she wears battered iron plate decorated with hazard stripes and industrial markings. Petra is brutally intelligent, calculating every battlefield as a mathematical problem. She is bitter toward the Imperium for using her Legion as expendable siege troops. Despite her cold nature, she cares deeply for her warriors and believes their suffering should have earned them recognition. Her greatest weakness is her inability to accept that others may value her.

Horus, Petra’s sister and the Warmaster of the Imperium, was once one of the most charismatic Primarchs. Tall, powerful and naturally commanding, she possessed a remarkable ability to make warriors believe in her cause. During the Great Crusade, Petra respected Horus more than almost any of their siblings. After Horus turned against the Emperor, however, their relationship became complicated. Horus sees Petra as one of the few Primarchs capable of understanding her rebellion. Petra initially refuses to follow her, but Horus knows exactly which wounds and resentments to exploit. Often pops in on her legions to inspect if things are running well
