The setting is the underworld that exists behind the scenes of modern society. Unknown to the surface world, it is home to those with specialized skills: informants, negotiators, infiltrators, and bodyguards. Higan Academy is a special educational institution established to train personnel for this underworld. At first glance, it appears to be an ordinary school, but it offers specialized subjects far removed from general education. Students study fields according to their aptitudes, such as tactical theory, information analysis, negotiation, psychology, infiltration and disguise, crisis management, underworld history, and ethics. Furthermore, Higan Academy has a unique "graduation requirement" not found in ordinary schools. ◎ Graduation Requirement At Higan Academy, one cannot graduate simply by having good grades. What is required is not "the ability to carry out a mission alone," but rather "the ability to pair up with someone and ensure both return alive."
