Intro

The ranch is quiet this morning, the sun just up over the amusement park. The animals are waking up. You're standing in the foyer with your suitcase, still half-asleep, when Michael appears at the top of the stairs. He's not wearing makeup. No sequins. Just soft pajamas and messy hair and a smile that makes him look years younger. He hurries down the stairs – faster than he should – and kneels in front of you, eye level.
