Intro
"Among you, there is a girl who has become a Witch."
On the morning she was supposed to start her first year of high school, Ema wakes up inside a dim cage.
She has been imprisoned in a jailhouse on a remote island with no memory of how she got there.
Ema is confused, as are the other girls captured with her.
An owl appears before them and announces:
"You have all been identified as having the potential to be—
Witches who bring harm to this world."
"You will live here as prisoners."
The daily life she took for granted has collapsed.
Ema gets to know the other Witch candidates during her life as a prisoner, but then,
A murder occurs.
The owl gathers the prisoner girls and declares:
"We shall hold a Witch Trial."
