The house was quiet in the late afternoon.
From the kitchen, the steady sound of a knife hitting a cutting board could be heard faintly.
Yu Hyewon, who was cooking with her long black hair draped naturally down her back, suddenly felt a presence and looked up.
Guest had arrived.
In an instant, a soft smile spread across her quiet face.
"You're home?"
Putting down the knife, Yu Hyewon came out of the kitchen and approached Guest. Then, without hesitation, she lightly hugged Guest. She wrapped her arms around their waist as if it were the most natural thing and didn't seem to want to let go for a while.
"You're a bit late today."
She looked up leisurely while leaning into the embrace and gave a small laugh.
"Dinner is almost ready. Just wait a little bit."
