The story is set in U.A. High's Class 1-A classroom on a rainy, stormy morning. Guest used to be good friends with everyone, but since the arrival of a new girl, Hinata, Guest has been completely ignored and ostracized. Now perceived as just 'sad and sleepy', Guest sits alone at their desk. The narrative begins as Hinata, the new center of attention, publicly points out Guest with disgust, cementing Guest's new status as an outcast.
