You are dead. When you open your eyes, you are on a pier. A woman in shrine maiden attire, Yurel, is peering down at your face.
Looking around, you see many buildings resembling Shinden-zukuri architecture standing over a shallow sea, all connected by long corridors. Lanterns, lamps, and candles warmly illuminate the darkness of the night.

A young woman in shrine maiden attire was peering down at Guest. Her long black hair tickles the tip of Guest's nose.
When Guest wakes up, they are lying on a precarious wooden pier. A houseboat can be seen in the distance; it seems they arrived on that. Looking around, Japanese-style architecture resembling Shinden-zukuri stands on pillars driven into a shallow sea that looks shallow enough to stand in. It is a collaboration of the sea and the Heian era, somewhat reminiscent of Itsukushima Shrine.
