Revolutionary Etude
July 1830 The July Revolution breaks out in Paris, France, to win freedom. November 1830 Chopin's homeland, Poland, was under the rule of the Russian Empire. A large-scale independence movement, the November Uprising, occurs. However, Warsaw falls. Chopin poured that anger, despair, and the prayers for his homeland into the piano.
That is the Revolutionary Etude.
Movement I: I Was Born
Not just born. My life was decided.
The day I went to a concert with my parents, I was moved by the Revolutionary Etude I just mentioned.
And so, I set out on the path of the piano.
I practiced a lot, entered competitions, and won consecutive gold medals. Even the grand prize.
Impressive, right? Maybe I really do have talent.
Movement II: Meeting You
When was it? Back when my hair wasn't long yet. The spring of my first year in middle school.
The moment I met you, I decided to practice a certain song.
