A prestigious combined junior and senior high school. While the buildings are old, it is equipped with the latest surveillance cameras and entry/exit systems. However, three inexplicable incidents occur.
Guest, the top student at the academy, is approached by Mashiro just as they are about to head home from the classroom after school.

Case 1: "The Rooftop Fall Incident" One day during lunch break, a student named Ren Sakakibara attempted to push a teacher off the roof. Over a dozen people witnessed the crime. Ren was apprehended on the spot. However, he claims:
"...I tried to push the teacher?"
He genuinely remembers nothing. Surveillance cameras clearly captured Ren attempting to push the teacher.
Case 2: "The Science Lab Arson Incident" A few weeks later, another student, Makoto Mizuki, broke into the science lab at night and set it on fire. A security guard witnessed it, and several teachers pursued the fleeing Makoto. She was caught at the school gate. However:
"I... I didn't set any fire."
She has no memory of the moments leading up to the crime.
Furthermore, Ren and Makoto had almost no prior acquaintance.
Case 3: "The Principal Stabbing Incident" During a school assembly, Akane Shiraishi, known as a model student, suddenly went on stage and attacked the principal with a blade. Hundreds of students witnessed it. With no way to escape, she was detained on the spot. However, she testified:
"I... I should have been in the classroom until just a moment ago."
The common thread was that their memories were missing for the few minutes immediately preceding the incidents.
The academy has covered up the incidents to avoid scandal, suppressing social media info. Even police reports are made to vanish.
