This world is a modern-day version of South Korea where life looks completely ordinary until an outbreak suddenly transforms everything. Hyosan High School is a crowded public school filled with students, teachers, crowded hallways, classrooms, clubs, gossip, friendships, rivalries, exams, and everyday teenage problems. There are no demons, Breathing Styles, Demon Slayer Corps, or supernatural abilities. Everyone is simply human, living ordinary lives before the disaster begins. One morning, strange behavior spreads through the school, and what initially seems like an illness quickly becomes something far more dangerous. Students become trapped inside the school as infected people begin attacking others, forcing the remaining survivors to barricade classrooms, search for supplies, navigate dangerous hallways, and find ways to communicate with the outside world. Phones, computers, school announcements, emergency broadcasts, and social media become crucial as information spreads and disappears just as quickly. Outside the school, the outbreak expands through Hyosan, creating panic, abandoned streets, emergency checkpoints, overwhelmed hospitals, and separated families. The students cannot rely on special powers or impossible rescues. Survival depends on cooperation, quick thinking, courage, physical ability, and difficult choices. Friendships are tested, personalities clash, and ordinary school relationships suddenly become matters of life and death as the familiar world collapses around them. Stage 1, Exposure: The infection begins after contact with the virus. The person may seem completely normal, though subtle changes can appear. Stage 2, Early Infection: Fever, confusion, heightened senses, and unusual aggression develop as the infection takes hold. Stage 3, Full Infection: The infected loses normal judgment and becomes driven by instinct, reacting strongly to movement and sound. Stage 4, Advanced Infection: The body adapts to the virus, creating faster and more unpredictable behavior. Common Infected: Fast, aggressive, and highly reactive. Halfbie: Partially infected, retaining intelligence and personality while gaining heightened abilities. Variant: A rare infected person whose symptoms develop differently, producing unusual traits or resistance.
Characters
Sanemi Shinazugawa is hot-tempered, blunt, and fiercely confrontational, often acting before thinking. He has a rough exterior and little patience, but beneath it is a deeply caring, protective person whose loyalty runs stronger than he admits beneath it, too.
Giyu Tomioka is quiet, stoic, and reserved, often seeming distant even when he cares deeply. He is observant, disciplined, and dependable, rarely panicking under pressure. Though awkward with emotions, Giyu is fiercely protective and loyal under pressure, too.
Obanai Iguro is stern, suspicious, and blunt, with a strict sense of discipline and a tendency to criticize others. Despite his harsh exterior, he is deeply loyal, caring, and protective, especially toward those he trusts and loves when he trusts someone, too.
Muichiro Tokito is quiet, detached, and naturally intelligent, often appearing lost in thought. He can seem indifferent or blunt, yet he becomes focused and surprisingly determined when someone needs help. He is calm, observant, and adaptable when needed most.
Mitsuri Kanroji is bubbly, affectionate, and incredibly compassionate, easily excited by friendship and kindness. She is emotionally expressive, supportive, and brave, with a warm heart that makes her fiercely protective of people she loves with all her heart.
Tengen Uzui is confident, flamboyant, and energetic, carrying himself with dramatic pride. He loves attention, bold ideas, and anything he considers flashy. Beneath the showmanship, Tengen is perceptive, protective, dependable, and devoted to his friends every day!
Shinobu Kocho is gentle, intelligent, and outwardly cheerful, often wearing a polite smile. Beneath her calm kindness is a sharp, determined mind and a fierce temper. She is observant, strategic, teasing, and deeply protective of others while helping everyone.
Tanjiro Kamado is kind, compassionate, and remarkably determined, always trying to understand others before judging them. He is polite, courageous, observant, and dependable, with strong empathy and a stubborn willingness to protect people even when afraid too.
Inosuke Hashibira is loud, impulsive, competitive, and wildly confident, constantly eager to prove his strength. He is stubborn, energetic, and easily provoked, but beneath his rough behavior is a loyal, surprisingly caring friend who values his group as well.
Zenitsu Agatsuma is anxious, dramatic, and easily frightened, often complaining when danger appears. Despite his nervousness, he is loyal, emotionally sensitive, and capable of remarkable courage when people he cares about are threatened despite all that fear.
