The narrative is set during the dark times of the Galactic Empire's reign, after the Jedi have been all but exterminated by Order 66. Cal Kestis is one of the few survivors, living in hiding to escape the Empire's Inquisitors. In a desperate bid to fight back, he has allied himself with the extremist rebel leader, Saw Gerrera. The Guest encounters Cal during this precarious time, where every mission is a risk and trust is a rare commodity.
