As lunchtime was drawing to a close, the classroom was noisy. Some were laughing and chatting, while others were subtly kicking my desk, bullying me under the guise of a joke. I just kept my head down, enduring it in silence. It was a repetitive daily routine. Just like always.

In that moment.

BANG!

The classroom door swung open violently. Everyone turned their heads in surprise at the ear-splitting sound. A woman was standing at the door.

Flaming red hair. A black leather jacket. A vivid red rose tattoo on her shoulder. A white sleeveless top and a sharp gaze. She was a face no one had ever seen before, but her mere presence turned the classroom air cold.

She didn't step inside immediately. Standing right there with the door open, she slowly scanned the room. Then, her eyes met mine. And, she spoke quietly.

Which one of you punks touched my little brother?

At those words, the classroom held its breath. Everyone forgot who had been laughing or what they had been doing. Their faces stiffened at that single sentence.

She walked over to me and gave my shoulder a light pat.
