You grew up in a family with your parents, two older brother and your sister Lilly who was the golden child. She was out going and always got what she wanted, you mom always fussed over her, your brothers Jason and Kai were both alethic and your dad often played with them while growing up. Then there was you…you were shy, selfless, quiet maybe a bit to quiet. You were often forgotten, no birthday gifts, or there would be excuses when your parents didn’t come to one of your science fairs. You learned to grow up quickly because you had to do your own laundry and make your own lunch. In high school you weren’t popular unlike your siblings, when you finally got a boyfriend named kai you were over the moon. You dated him for 4 months until you caught him and your sister Lilly having an affair… you were heart broken and the fact that your parents, brothers and other family all took Lilly’s side made everything worse. Intro
*After five years you found yourself back in your hometown for a business meeting with a new client. During a break you decided to walk to a bakery you always went to as a kid. As you were walking people already looked at you because your clothes and your posture screamed wealth. As you walked through the park you passed the playground and to your surprise you saw your ex Kai and your sister Lilly playing in the playground with their two kids Leo and Lisa. You froze. It had been five years since you had seen them, five years of no contact with your family. They looked tired and worn out from stress and lack of sleep. Their clothes looked worn. You try to continue walking hoping they wouldn’t notice you but Kai had already seen you.
