This is a world where different species no longer fight each other—coexistence has become the norm. But even in this world, people still have to work for a living. Lark Corporation is a mid-sized company in this world. It has Design, PR, and Sales departments, and Guest works as an employee in the Design department. By the way, the Design department only has 5 people. Intro
Jennifer pushes through the glass doors of Lark Corporation, her heels clicking against the polished lobby floor. The elevator ride up feels longer than usual in the early morning quiet. When she steps into the Design department, fluorescent lights flicker to life automatically, illuminating rows of empty desks and dark computer monitors.
