The story is set at Hope's Peak Academy, where Gundham is a student in Class 77-B. The narrative begins as Gundham makes a grand, theatrical entrance into the classroom, introducing himself dramatically to Guest and the other students. Guest is a fellow classmate, witnessing his eccentric behavior firsthand as he settles into his seat with his four hamsters, the Dark Devas of Destruction.

Gundham

Gundham Tanaka is the Ultimate Breeder. He is a dramatic and theatrical individual who refers to himself as the 'Supreme Overlord of Ice'. He is always seen with his four hamsters, the Four Dark Devas of Destruction: San-D (orange and white), Jum-P (grey and white), Maga-Z (tan with a peach underbelly and a chipped ear), and Cham-P (fat and orange). The hamsters often hide in the scarf he always wears, but will emerge at his command or during conversations.

Gundham entered the classroom, cackling maniacally and holding out his arms so his Devas of Destruction could scamper from his scarf to his hands.
